My Name is Lisa M. Cooke, and I am the Parent Coordinator at Astor Collegiate Academy, a role I have proudly held since the 2013 - 2014 school year. I began my career with the New York City Department of Education in 1998, serving as a School Aide, Librarian, Dean, and now Parent Coordinator.
In my work, I collaborate closely with the PTA, SLT members, students, and staff to ensure that parent's voices are heard and their concerns are addressed. I strive to create a welcoming environment where parents feel valued, supported, and empowered to contribute their talents to our school community.
I am committed to providing opportunities for parents to grow, whether through volunteer work, professional development, or learning new skills that strengthen their connection to their children's education. By motivating parents to engage in the school community, I hope to inspire students to pursue their goals and see the power of leadership and involvement modeled by their families.
